Simone is currently a Ph.D Student at GSLIS and Research Assistant at the Center for Informatics Research in Science and Scholarship enrolled in the Data Conservancy Project. His research interests lie in Scholarly Communication Behaviours, Knowledge Formalisation and Science Data Conservancy.

Simone received his Master Degree in Library Science from the University of Parma in Italy, with major in Scholarly Communications. He continued with postgraduate specialization in Computer Science from the University of Bologna in Italy, with major in Free and Open Source Software.

Before coming to GSLIS he worked for 8 years as a Systems Librarian at the Interlibrary Center of the University of Bologna, where he was in charge of the University Institutional Repositories.
