Disciplinary Research Practices and Library Services in the Online Environment

OCLC Research and the RLG Partnership commissioned a report to identify recent literature on changing scholarly research practices and how research libraries can best support researchers across disciplines.  The first step of this project is a literature review to explore how the online environment is affecting current research practices, with particular attention paid to discipline differences.  The second part of the project will be to articulate recommendations aimed at research library service providers and managers, identifying opportunities for new service development.

The first phase of this project was completed in the winter of 2008-9.
